The Department provides financial aid for some of its graduate students in the form of Fellowships, Graduate Assistantships (GA), and University Graduate Fellowships (UGS). In addition, a special Doctoral UGS may be available for doctoral candidates who have completed all degree requirements except the dissertation. University Graduate Scholarships are in the amount of tuition; Fellowships and Assistantships normally include tuition plus a monthly stipend. Assistantships include departmental duties up to 20 hours per week; Fellowships include no departmental duties.
