Professional Summary

Jeff Timberlake is Associate Professor of Sociology. His research and teaching interests are in the areas of urban sociology, sociology of population, race and ethnicity, and quantitative research methods.

His current research focuses on causes and consequences of urban inequality, particularly racial and ethnic residential segregation and concentrated neighborhood poverty.

Recent publications include papers in Social Science Research, Population Research and Policy Review, Social Problems, and City & Community.

MS, University of Wisconsin-Madison, 1998 (Sociology).
