Professional Summary
Christine Anne Hovanitz graduated summa cum laude from UCLA in 1976. She received her PhD in clinical psychology from Auburn University following a predoctoral internship at Ohio State University Medical Center. After a postdoctoral fellowship at Harvard University/Children's Hospital Medical Center, she joined the Department of Psychology at the University of Cincinnati, where she is currently Professor. Formally a member of AAPB's Board of Directors, she is currently an Associate Editor for the journal Applied Psychophysiology and Biofeedback and a member of the AAPB Foundation Board. She is the recipient of 4 citation paper awards from AAPB and a faculty achievement award from UC.

Psychological mechanisms underlying regulation and dysregulation of physiological state; theological and philosophical origins of mind/body dualism; psychophysiological, affective, and motivational mediators of psychological and physical disorders; mechanisms through which stress results in dysfunction.
