Professional Summary

Rhonda Douglas Brown is an Assistant Professor of Cognitive Developmental Psychology. She received her Ph.D. in Psychology from Florida Atlantic University, her M.A. in Psychology from the University of Dayton, and her B.S. in Psychology and Human and Organizational Development from Vanderbilt University. Before joining the faculty at UC, she was an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology at Texas Tech University. Her major area of research is memory development in early childhood. Current research projects include investigations of developmental and individual differences in children's eyewitness memory, suggestibility, and false-memory creation; developmental differences in neural correlates of memory using functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), and the effects of imagery on source memory. Additionally, she has collaborated with the Ohio Department of Education in evaluating the implementation of the Galileo System, an on-line observational assessment tool, in state funded early childhood programs, including Head Start.
