2007 Summer Program in Munich
Language and Cultural Immersion in Germany
Professor Eckard Rademann
15-GRMN-361-101, 6 undergraduate credits
Come with us to discover beautiful Munich, the secret capital of Germany. Learn German in a historic cultural center of Europe that today is Germany's favorite city for visitors and Germans alike. Munich is also Germany's most popular university city.

In UC's Summer Program in Munich, you can study the German language and culture while immersed in the language. Daily excursions in the city and nearby alpine region are included in the conversation classes. Weekends will include  planned travel activities and research assignments in small groups.

Earn 6 quarter hours in this intensive 3 week language program. Monday-Friday, the course work includes 2-3 hours of classroom instruction each day plus more relaxed conversation classes that take place while we visit cultural and historic sites in and around Munich. The intensive nature of the course enables you to concentrate on developing your German language skills. The learning process continues both in and out of class, while you are studying and while you enjoy leisure time.

Individual or joint applications are accepted. Eligible projects  include but are not limited to research expenses, travel to a library, archives, museum, or conference, a language  immersion program, or an organized field trip. There is no limit on the number of students who may apply for the  enrichment awards, and all awards are made on a competitive basis with none allocated to particular departments. Applications will be evaluated both on the potential value of the enrichment experience and the record of the student(s)  applying.
