Welcome to Over-the-Rhine,
the historic old German quarter of Cincinnati. Even today, the German-American
history is easy to see in this section of downtown. Crossing the Erie
Canal, today Central Parkway, you enter into the German-speaking district
of Alt-Cincinnati! This site highlights this important section of town
and hopes to draw attention to the treasures located there so that they
may be preserved and the history never forgotten. Take
