Prerequisites: It is the policy of the Department of Communication that course prerequisites will be strictly enforced. Prerequisites are listed in parenthesis. Major, Junior status, and the completion of 171, 176, 306, and 307 for all 400-level and above courses.


Course Requirements: A minimum of 54 credits (18 three-credit courses) in communication coursework is required to complete the major. Students must complete:
1. All Category I: Core Foundation Courses
2. One course from each of the major concentration areas A-E listed in Category II
3. Two additional courses from one chosen area of concentration in A-E listed in     Category II
4. Any five additional courses, which can be taken from Category II or III
5. A minimum of 18 credit hours in classes numbered at the 400-level or above

Note: A minimum GPA of 2.0 is required in both the major and the University GPA to graduate.
