Applied Calculus 15-MATH-226, 227
Two possible sequences are available for Applied Calculus. Pre-business students and some science majors are recommended to take the Finite Mathematics and Applied Calculus sequence 225, 226, 227. A Mathematics Placement Test of 530 is a prerequisite for 225. Students with scores below this should take 224 in order to strengthen their mathematics background.
The sequence Math 224, 226, 227 will also satisfy the A&S mathematics requirement and may be taken by students majoring in certain physical sciences (such as biology and geology), economics and pre-medical students. A score of 430 or above on the Mathematics PLacement test is required for Math 224.Students majoring in mathematics, physics or engineering take the Calculus 251, 252, 253, and 264 sequence.
