Departmental Honors

The Department of English awards department honors to outstanding majors who graduate with the required major GPA. With department honors, undergraduates are eligible to wear special yellow honors cords at the commencement ceremony.

English Honors

• High Honors in English: Given to English majors who graduate with an English major GPA of 3.75 or higher.
• Honors in English: Given to English majors who graduate with an English major GPA of 3.50 or higher.

Journalism Honors

• High Honors in Journalism: Given to Journalism majors who graduate with a Journalism major GPA of 3.75 or higher.

• Honors in Journalism: Given to Journalism majors who graduate with a Journalism major GPA of 3.33 or higher.
