Ohio Valley Archaeology Fieldschool

15 ANTH 473 & ANTH 773, Summer Quarter 


WHAT: Field Course in Archaeology. Learn by doing, hands-on field methods including site survey, transit and state-of-the-art GPS, drill core analysis, magnetic susceptibility, ground penetrating radar, and excavation.

WHEN: Summer Quarter Terms 1 and 2, June 23 to August 08, Weekdays 8 AM to Noon.

WHERE: Shawnee Lookout Park, Hamilton County, Ohio’s First National Register District, including the Hopewell Miami Fort, mounds, and village sites.

CREDIT: Undergraduate or Graduate (6 to 12 hours, 3 to 6 hours per term).

PREREQUISITE: None.
